Oh blogger, how i loath thee :D haha Been busy teaching camp kids arts and crafts, but now that thats over, I will hopefully be back on blogger and will be getting a new job soon! yay! This is the flier I made this past week for my roller derby team. I wish I was on the Neon-derthals! LOL

Fixing up an old piece that I did for a bag design. I'm redoing the colors on it and getting it framed so I can hang it up at the HeadHouse. Its lookin' awesome! Cant wait to post it!

Summer Bash

Finished!! Hooray! So this is a piece for my roller derby team. We have a game in June, so I needed to finish this in time to put in the May game program. I'm uber happy with the colors, but I really wish I had more time to work on the bottom. Idk if it really screams smashed sandcastle. The sand texture feels a little too dark. But overall I'm happy with it. I actually didn't use any photo reference for this piece, which is unusual for me. I'm really big into reference photos, but unfortunately my camera is broken. I think I did a pretty good job at nailing the prospective.
I'm really excited I came across the "Derby deeds" podcast. Its really helping me stay focused on my art, and I have a pen and a notepad beside me so I can jot down any ideas, or inspirations that I might get from it. NOW I'm going to Wawa to get some coffee, so I can finish putting together the rest of the game program. Later!

Working on a new flier for our June game. Cant wait to finish it and post pics! I've been moving at a snails pace because of the weather and especially because my body hurts! LOL I went to my first pro roller derby practice and got an intense workout! Practice was on Sunday, but my whole body is STILL sore! A+! I'm trying to lose 30 pounds by the end of July, so wish me luck!

Meet n Greet poster

I designed this sucker a few weeks ago for a meet and greet event at the HeadHouse in Philadelphia. If you ever get a chance to go there, its a great bar with some bangin' sushi! busy bee!

Wow! So I'm officially done with school! HOW AWESOME! I definitely am going to keep up with my blog from now on... Its about time. So I went to NYC for portfolio day on Thursday. It was a whole lot of fun and I met some awesome people! It was a great experience! I am going to start posting some of my work in the next few days, I have a lot going on so hopefully nothing too repetitive. I'll try to keep the website and the blog fresh for ya!

As far as the derby world goes... I've got lots of fun stuff coming up! Fliers, 2 new logos, and a drink coaster- which will be really cool! Unfortunately I've had to push the coaster to the back burner because of all the work I've had recently, but It will get done in the near future. Looking forward to blogging more in the future!
