Roller Derby Mural

Working on a mural 60ft wide and 15ft high at the Penn Jersey Roller Derby Warehouse in North Philly. Above is the photo/sketch phase. Below is the actual artwork. Id like to give credit to our league photographer and my friend Chris 'King Taco' Boetticher. A gift for our friend in the Air Force who was just recently deployed to Germany. Alcohol wrapped to look like ammunition, warning signs, and knives, a T-shirt wrapped like a grenade, acrylic paint for blood, and a caution tape ribbon.

Voodoo Vixens

On top of not having internet, I have been so busy lately! I recently moved into a new apartment in NJ with my boyfriend and have been unpacking like a mad person! Really bummed about leaving Philly, but it was necessary. A lot has been happening in my personal life that lead up to the move... My mom's health was slowly decreasing. In January she was a healthy 140 pounds. The last week in June my mom hit 109 pounds. The doctors thought it was Pancreatic Cancer. They sent her in for all of these tests to find out what was causing the rapid weight loss. My Dad decided it was time to sell the South Philly house to help pay for my Mom's medical bills. The only way I could describe how sickly my mom looked was a holocaust victim. She looked anorexicly skinny and it became painful for her to sit because she no longer had a butt, she was sitting on her tail bone. I thought she was on her death bed. My family and I prepared for the worst.  Come the first week in July my mom comes prancing into the Philly House saying how she gained a pound and that they had found the source of the problem. One of my moms anti-rejection meds (for her kidney) was actually tearing her apart from the inside. The doctors changed her medication and now she's doing great!  So, in the end everything worked out. Family is happy and healthy, I'm back to work, got a new apartment with my man and my cat in this really cool town, and I got my internet up and running. YAY! Thanks life for keeping me on my toes and reminding me to appreciate all the little things!

Muse- Resistance Acoustic Guitar

Bored and felt like pickin' up the ol' guitar :) Learned a new song tonight called Resistance, by the band Muse. I thought I did pretty decent for not playing guitar in a long while. I will hopefully be doing this more often!

Murcury Helmet sketch to paint update

'Mercury' derby helmet almost finished! Here is an example of my work from sketch to paint. Sooo excited to finish this one! Look for it at Battle of the Bank in LA this wekend worn by Murcury of the She Devils. You can also see some more of my work on the helmet of Sinamon Sawbones also of the She Devils.

What better way to calm the nerves than to paint for a couple of hours. Almost finished with my painting of Judy Sowinski. Still a bit more detail work to do, but it will definitely be finished in time for her Birthday. If I haven't gotten out enough of my frustrations, roller derby practice tonight will certainly do the trick ;)

Just got around to posting, and wanted to say Happy Memorial Day! I found this awesome find on Pinterest and made it for Derby-Q ( roller derby BBQ) layed out some cool whip, and it was gone in 2 hours :) Deeelicious! Thank you to all of those that serve/ served!

Finished Thigh Tattoo!

This is a Thigh Tattoo for my friend who works with animals. This is the second piece I've done for her. The first was a sleeve of animals from Africa inspired by her trip there when she worked at a Baboon refuge.
This image is to represent her trip to Canada. She worked specifically with the animals in the image so she wanted them to be a permanent part of her life. The white of the tree and leaves will be skin tone. Pencil sketch drawn and colored digitally in Photoshop.

Custom Skater Dunny for friends Louisiana Wedding Present!

Hand Painted Dunny for my friend who is getting married! Acrylic paint and altered build-a-bear skates and dress. I painted tattoos on the Dunny that look identical to my friends actual tattoos. This is my first trip to Louisiana and I'm super stoked to be experiencing a Louisiana wedding, spending some much needed girl time with my friend, and taking some much needed vacation time!!! woOoOot!

Temple Run concept

This is a sketch I made for my teens. We were supposed to be creating a banner for a contest. The theme of the banner was 'All Teens Lead', so we decided to recreate some scenes from the popular video game Temple Run and instead of the character dodging obstacles, he could be avoiding Life's obstacles such as gangs, violence, drugs, alcohol, etc.... In a sense, 'Running for his life'. I'm really bummed that they no longer have the banner contest, because we totally would have won!
